Ms. Alysa N. Veidis, RN, MSN, FNP

Ms. Alysa N. Veidis is the Director of Nursing Programs in Lesotho through the Boston University Global Health Collaborative as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Boston University Medical Center.

Ms. Veidis completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and attained her Masters in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Alysa has been employed at the Family Medicine Center at Boston Medical Center for the last seven years and functions as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Alysa provides broad-spectrum, preventative, acute and home care for a diverse, multi-cultural, high-risk patient population. Appointed as a Teaching Associate at the Boston University School of Medicine, she precepts Nurse Practitioner students and teaches Home Care to Boston University School of Medicine Residents. In addition, she acts as a Case Management Coordinator at Boston Medical Center, where she oversees a nursing team in the case management of diabetic, asthmatic, substance addicted and pediatric patients.

Alysa has worked previously in Ecuador and the Dominican Republic and made her first trip to Lesotho in 2005 as an exchange participant in a U.S. Department of State Africa Workforce Development program.
