Global Primary Care, Inc. was created in November 2006 by a group of dedicated public health professionals to support projects designed to improve access to basic health care services including family medicine. The first efforts were focused on the small African country of Lesotho where we made a longterm commitment to the country of Lesotho to help address the HIV/AIDS crisis as well as strengthen its fragile healthcare system. Its financial support along with volunteers helped to fill gaps in funding for its various projects, providing medicines, housing, transportation and other items essential to success. Its long-term commitment to Lesotho has produced tested and beneficial healthcare models that are being used in other countries to improve increased access to care.
Over the years, Global Primary Care has expanded its reach to support programs in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar as well as its continued support of its work in Lesotho. Learn more about the success stories in the countries where Global Primary Care works.
